Looking for the magical aurora borealis?
If you’re lucky, which we often are, you can see the ‘dancing lights’ right outside our door or on the frozen lake. It is always an indescribable experience to see the green, yellow and purple lights moving across the sky in wondrous shapes. It is an experience that we wish for every guest, but cannot guarantee.
The winter months from November to March are a very good time to see the Northern Lights. But the most important is, that no electric light disturbs the darkness of the sky. Our guesthouse lies 25 km from the nearest town, so it is really dark and perfect to watch the light show. We can’t give you a guarantee, as the weather and cloud formation also play a role.
