Snowmobiles:

We all ride the same machines. WLynx Xterrain PRO 3900/64mm PowderMax II 600R E-TEC Electric Start Hyper Silver / Black. A 2-stroke engine snowmobile with lots of power! These are single seaters (each rides alone), perfect for riding in deep snow of untouched nature. The long tracks and the 64mm shovel promise a super powder experience! An extra fan cools your engine down when you step hard on the gas pedal. For taller guests, we have 2 machines equipped with higher handlebars. Driving licence:

To drive a snowmobile, you must have a driving licence for motorbikes of category A1 or for cars (B). For Swiss citizens, the B1 licence is also sufficient.

Driving level:

If you have never ridden a snowmobile before, your personal guide will give you the needed support and very soon you will be able to keep up with the group. If necessary and possible, we divide the driver group into levels.

Equipment:

We have warm combi suits, boots, balaclavas and cross helmets with ski goggles for everyone. Of course you can bring your own equipment (or part of it). In any case, we recommend that you bring your own mittens and fleece gloves. Fleece gloves are an ideal combination with mittens. If they fit properly, your hands are warm.

Risk of accidents:

The first rule is: Stick to the rules!

Beat has in his 18-year career as a snowmobile guide, already led about 700 tours with guests and driven about 50,000 kilometres. Therefore, he has a lot of experience in driving techniques, route planning and anticipatory driving, which is very important to avoid accidents.

Over all this time he has not experienced any major accidents with personal injury. Material damage always can happen from time to time. But there can be done a lot to minimise it.

Driving on the lake:

We only go to safe places out on the lake. We don’t want to break in. In case of overflow, (water is between ice and snow, max. 30 cm deep, but always ice underneath) we will show you how to drive safely across these overflows.

Weather:

Winter temperatures range from minus 10 to minus 20 degrees. As it is a dry cold in Sweden, it does not feel as cold as in Germany or Switzerland. (You can subtract about 10 degrees from the indicated temperature)

We drive in any weather. However, in case of snowfall or fog, the tours are moved to the forest, where the weather conditions are less affecting our activities.
